Business design
Starting from an original business idea, which can be anything from the launch of a new project to an internal organizational improvement, we will sketch one or more business designs, and we assess them qualitatively along these key questions:
- What are key points of the value proposition? User requirements that we will meet?
- What are the relevant competitive market(s)? Appropriate segments?
- Strengths and weaknesses of the competition
- Demand sensitivity to price? Price target?
- Is the idea technology-intensive? What are the special software needs?
- Marketing and sales requirements, distribution channels, customer support
- Risks and barriers to new entrants. Can the competition pre-empt us?
At this stage we may have shortlisted one, or at most two, candidate business designs. If the Client decides it is worth investigating further, then we will need to perform a detailed business planning.
